Utility Assistance Winter Program (EAP) is a program that provides a one time credit on utilities for low-income households. It generally begins in November and runs through Mid-May. If a household is eligible, a designated amount will be credited to the utility bill.

Food Pantry provides a three to five day supply of emergency food to families in need every 30 days, or as needed in emergencies.
Re-Housing/Eviction Prevention Program provides rental assistance for individuals/families currently residing in a shelter to help them get into stable housing or who have received an eviction notice to help keep them in stable housing.
Weatherization assists low income and eldery persons with home insulation, storm windows, doors, caulking, etc. to low income and elderly persons. Qualified renters and home owners are eligible. To apply for Weatherization, please call 211.
Lawn Program offers lawn mowing services for the low and moderate income elderly and individuals with physical disabilities. The service is available in the City of Hammond.
Restaurant Voucher Program offers a Senior Restaurant Voucher Program. This program offers seniors the opportunity to enjoy a hot, nutritious lunch daily at a restaurant in Hammond, Indiana, and a restaurant in Highland, Indiana. In addition to providing 1/3 of their daily nutrition requirements, the Voucher Program also provides seniors with a chance to socialize with other members of their community. The financial savings also make this a highly desirable program for those in need of economic assistance.

Tax Filing Assistance is provided to low income households in the community. The purpose of this project is to assist persons in maximizing their tax refund so that they may use these funds to help better their financial future.
